Doing more with less: The story of our lives in 2015

The story goes both ways...

Not only are patients leading increasingly busy lives, but their physicians are as well. Everyone is required to do more with less, a subtle, yet very strong standard exists nowadays to do more with less.

This standard was likely developed due to significant developments in technology that allow us to do more with less. Naturally, all industries should be able to benefit from developments in technology and improve the ways that goods and services are provided to their customers.

So why is medicine lacking in this respect... particularly in the use of virtual visits?

Is it due to a lack of appropriate technology ready and available to patients and physicians? - No.

Fear and apprehension of the possibility of health standards and outcomes being degraded by the injection of technology into the system? Likely, yes.

Delays in implementing effective virtual medicine solutions are effervescent. The technology is there (example: liveClinic), it's ready, it's available - so why aren't we using it?

There is only one way to overcome any fear, and that's by facing it head-on.

Technology is here, it's here to stay, it's not going away.

With solutions for virtual visits such as liveClinic's, there has never been a better time to jump on board with technology and try out a virtual visit - as a patient or a physician.

LiveClinic understands the fear and the trust barriers that exist with medicine over the internet.

So let's start slowly, overcoming any fear is a process. Medicine in itself is a process, that has been established and throughout the years by trial and error.

We can do this with virtual visits - in a very safe way.

Let's start by connecting physicians with their existing patients, patients that they've developed a strong, consistent history with, that are seeking medical assistance for non-severe occurrences, such as: allergy prescriptions, birth control prescriptions, blood work or sample retrieval requisitions, mental health follow-up visits or check ins, etc.

The point is - there are items that warrant medical attention, yet are not dependent on the physical, in-person aspect of a traditional doctor's visit to ensure success of treatment.

It is time to segment the practice a bit more, so that's it's amenable to the uses of technology that we have at our disposal today.

Let us help you to achieve this with your practice. It is our mission at liveClinic to implement technology into the practice in a safe and effective way, and we follow the utmost highest standards in doing so.
